Rushed Sermon Prep & Crying in the Pulpit

Published on: 10th May, 2021

On this weeks show we discuss the necessity of prioritizing sermon preparation and what it's like to "cram for the final" of the Sunday morning final. We also deal with an incredibly difficult – and seemingly apocalyptic – passage of Matthew 24:15-35. Nathan is continuing the ever-challenging book of Revelation and is in 2:8-11.

Books mentioned on this weeks show:

The Hymn mentioned is "Afflicted Saint To Christ Draw Near," and can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zGbdg1YCYY

The sermons we are discussing this week were preached at our respective churches on April 18, 2021.

I grew up in the Piney Woods of East Texas as a pastor's son. Being on the inside, I saw the worst of the church. But the Lord has brought me to see the glory of the gospel and the worth of the church. My wife and I have four wonderful children and an average dog. I love good BBQ and there is a lot of it in Austin, Tx.

The joys in 1 Thessalonians 2:13 are what make me want to wake up and preach another day.
